Platform Communications proudly welcomed Rachel Reisner this spring as our new Director of Public Relations. As a Milwaukee native and University of Missouri graduate, Rachel joins us with a deep passion for her work in the public and private sector, as well as the campaign world. Her local ties and extensive national experience already positioned her to make a strong impact.
Media Relations & Public Relations Powerhouse
From day to day, Rachel drives both media relations and public relations strategies. She helps her clients earn impactful media coverage, craft effective messaging plans, and amplify their ideas. Whether developing a strategy to break through the noise or coaching teams through message delivery, she brings intention to every project.
One of her favorite aspects of her job is working with crisis communications. “Crisis communications isn’t for everyone, but it’s definitely something I love,” Rachel explains. “With my background, I thrive under chaos.” No matter how high the stakes or complex the campaign, her ability to bring calm and direction during uncertain moments is one of the many assets she brings to Platform.
Rachel’s History Before Platform
Before joining our team, Rachel built an impressive career, including high-profile public roles where she got the chance to work on both sides of the aisle. Most recently, she served as the Director of Communications for the 60th Presidential Inauguration Committee, where she helped lead communications for the Inauguration, the Vice Presidential Ball, and a range of related national events. She also served as Communications Director for the 2024 Republican National Convention and Director of Battleground States, leading communications efforts across key swing states and collaborating with private and nonprofit partners. Reflecting on that experience, she notes, “I traveled a lot, saw a lot, and learned a lot,” and those lessons continue to shape her approach today.
Rachel at Platform
Now, at Platform, Rachel is excited to expand her focus. She is looking forward to working with a wide variety of clients, from major players like the Milwaukee Brewers to local changemakers. Not only is she interested in the opportunity to learn more about new industries, but she’s also thrilled to reconnect with Milwaukee.
Rachel’s strategic insight, crisis-ready mindset, and enthusiasm makes her a powerful addition to our team. We are extremely excited to have her as a leader in our public relations efforts at Platform.
