At the heart of Platform Communication’s visual identity is Lauren Amber Socarrás, a designer, storyteller, and creative force who brings our biggest campaigns to life. Lauren describes herself as someone who loves to work behind the scenes where creativity is constantly flowing.
With a background in corporate and bipartisan initiatives as well as political campaigns, she has created compelling content for Congressional, Gubernatorial, and Presidential races, as well as key ballot initiatives. Lauren’s work blends digital storytelling with creative strategy. From crafting digital content, designing print material, and editing videos, she makes sure Platform is always creatively ahead of the game. “A lot of companies don’t see the need for a strong creative presence until they are faced with a need for one; many don’t realize that rushed creativity can become a company’s worst nightmare,” she says.
What sets Lauren apart is not just her eye for design, but her ability to collaborate. She works closely with multiple departments, strategists, and copywriters to align their vision with the necessary execution. “A strong creative presence will inspire client and company-wide success,” she says. And her work does exactly that. Her style is driven by the belief that all creative work should be intentional to some degree. “When you intentionally carve out time to go to the drawing board and mess around with ideas, even if you don’t initially have any, you can cut through a lot of the brain fog that comes with starting a new project. If you don’t spend time with your creative process or you don’t have one, success through any medium will be difficult, almost impossible, to achieve. One of the most useful tools any creative person can have is a tailor-made creative process that works for them.”
Though her days are spent balancing all kinds of creative requests, part of Lauren’s creative process is slowing down and letting her mind reset. Based in Miami, Lauren finds balance in beach days, traveling, and time with family and friends. She credits Platform Communications for promoting a unique culture that values a healthy work-life balance and praises her supervisor, Anthony Birch, for viewing creative work as a necessity for obtaining success, not a suggestion.
Looking ahead, Lauren hopes to grow Platform’s creative side even further alongside Anthony: “Our hope is to keep building on our already strong creative foundation. We’ve seen immense creative growth over the last few months, so it’s an exciting time to expand our reach even further.”
